Golf Ball Sorting

Volunteers Needed! Saturday March 9th The Plastic Pick up will be hosting our first community gathering where our goal is to sort golf balls into four stages based on color to be further used in a large scale art sculpture. With a local artist, Ethan Estess, we are working to construct a 26 x 8 foot three dimensional barreling wave composed of the golf balls collected from the ocean. With the support of the World Surf League, Jack and Kim Johnson, and Kelly Slater, we are fortunate to be able to construct this art peace to spread awareness on the pressing issues of marine plastic pollution. This is a great opportunity to meet like minded individuals with a goal of cleaning and protecting our local and global communities.
